Tert-Butyl Acetate (TBAc) is a clear, colorless, flammable liquid with a pungent or characteristic ester odor.
TBAc is commonly used as a solvent in the production of lacquers, enamels, packaging inks, pressure-sensitive adhesives, thinners and industrial cleaners.
TBAc is less volatile and flammable than exempt acetone and methyl acetate. Additionally, it is used as an additive to improve the antiknock properties of motor fuels.
